GitLab — 5 years. Joined when the company had 150 people and left at 3,000. Started as an engineering manager for self-hosted infrastructure, then spent 3 years in DevRel under Priyanka Sharma, building the program from the ground up.

Kilo Code — from week 5. The most popular open source AI coding agent, co-founded by GitLab's Sid Sijbrandij. Joined as full-time DevRel and built the content engine and community from scratch, scaling to 2 blog posts per day. Beyond shipping an AI product, used AI natively across GTM, content production, and community operations — proving that AI amplifies DevRel when applied thoughtfully.

Additional experience at Project Discovery (open-source security automation, Series A) and Prefect (data workflow orchestration).

Served on the CNCF Governing Board (2020–2022), advising on marketing and business oversight for the foundation. Previously advised Slim.ai on open source community strategy and led DevOps transformation programs for the US Department of Defense at Orbis Technologies.

DevRel is developer marketing. The primary KPI is developer adoption (monthly active developers). Everything else is a leading indicator.
